About the Artist

Little is known about Sanford Aschinger. He was born March 30, 1928 in Illinois. As an adult, he lived in the San Francisco bay area and had some exhibitions of his works there, including the Prism gallery (a former bar). A hand written letter of support to James Meredith, dated October 1 1962, is in the Meredith archives.

Aschinger passed away in California in 1987.
