Yet another compelling but essentially unknown artist is Minnie Price. Though nothing beyond her life dates are recorded, Price’s untitled 1934 print suggests a familiarity with the work of another artist in this exhibition—Coy Avon Seward of the Prairie Print Makers group. The similarity between Price’s hand-colored woodblock and Seward’s linocuts Land of Mystery (1930) and On the Road to the Pueblo (1929) would seem to be somewhat more than coincidental.
